Hey Love!
Have you ever cut off all of your hair and started over?
Ever done a big chop?
I’ve done a few of them through my travels for many luscious reasons. Some because of a new style I wanted to try, others because it was time for something new, and quite a few because of damage (mine and others).
As I watched one of my Lavishly Natural Inspirations getting her second big chop, I was reminded of my own.
Jenell Stewart, Founder and Goddess of Kinky Curly Coily Me, shared a very common experience of hair damage and recovery. You can read her storyhere.
The whole thing inspired me to finish editing this video update. I loved my hair post big chop after I acted a plum fool when it started falling out.
I taped this about 2 months after my 2nd big chop (post damage). For me, cutting my hair always starts a mega growth spurt. Your hair may not need a cut for a mega growth extravaganza…but if it does, there’s a succulent energy that comes from letting it go.
Plus, you don’t want to miss the mysterious person who always appears after the cut to say - when a woman cuts her hair, she’s about to change her life!
I find this mantra to be tantrically true.
If only I could apply it to video editing.
Thank goodness I didn’t tell you I filmed this video last year. It’s ThrowBack Thursday, and you know I like to go all the way back…to 2012!
