Hello Naturalista!
Juicing has become a daily practice in my home. It’s one of the ways I take the advice of FLOTUS, and keep myself high on my To-Do List!
My 40-Day Prosperity Program ends today and I wanted to share a few juicing recipes that brought more abundance, optimism, and good vibes into our lives. Plus they do wonders for hair growth, shine and health!
If you don’t have a juicer you can blend the items into a delicious smoothie. Add some coconut water or yogurt, sparkling water or your favorite beverage for a healthy green treat.
If you’ve never tried a green juice, the three recipes below are sweet, delicious and other than the color, you barely notice it’s packed with EXTREME nutrients.
We talk a lot in the natural hair community about what we put on our heads (or don’t put in our hair:). What we put in our bodies also has a lot to do with our healthy curls & locs.
Watch me whip up some of my favorites in the videos below. Recipes are included under each video.
Let me know how these work for you!
Hair Recipe of the Day

- 2 1/2 tablespoons avocado butter (softened)
- 1 tablespoon chia seed oil
- 1 teaspoon cocoa butter (softened)
- 1/8 teaspoon broccoli seed oil
- 1/8 teaspoon calendula extract
- Add the ingredients to your container in the order listed.
- Once you have mixed your all of your ingredients, add extra cocoa butter (about 1/2 teaspoon) and mix them into your butter.
- This puts the chunky in the chunky butter! These tiny cocoa butter pieces will melt into your fingers, hair and skin once applied. It leaves an added shimmery shine to your curls. It's also deeply moisturizing and lubricating to your hair and skin.
- Store in a 4oz jar or container.
